Places to See and Interesting Facts:
Known for being the location of the famous American Gothic House, immortalized in Grant Woods American Gothic painting. Tourists and art buffs alike pose in front of the House year round. Wapello also produced many concert violins around the turn of the 20th Century. Crafted by Joseph Collingwood, they were in great demand by violinists across the country.
